Post by mosquito » Sat Jan 21, 2006 11:31 am

Within the Scenery Toolkit-team i'm working on a scenery which covers southern Bavaria and the western part of Austria.

I'm still saerching for people that would like to helpwith 3D Modeling of airports and landmarks. So feel free to contact me.

I attached some pictures i made while flying from Koenigsdorf to Innsbruck and from my way back.

Looking at the new scenery being developed I sure hope I can give my area equal justice. This is going to be great having different areas of the world to fly in. Condor will definitely soar above the rest :) I would like to know how did you find working with the toolkit, is there a steep learning curve in order to achieve these results?.

Ok, i had some thoughts about the scenery area, which now covers a bit more than planned.

i attached a map which shows the covered area.

Inside my area there are the following airfields:

Fuessen
Agathazell
Samedan
Reutte
Eschenlohe
Koenigsdorf
Kufstein
Innsbruck
St.Johann
Unterwoessen
Zell am See
Niederoeblarn
Noetsch
Mauterndorf
Bolzano

i leaft some out, i know...

the ones i planned to include up to now are:

Koenigsdorf
Innbsruck
Samedan
Zell am See
Noetsch

Of course i would be happy if somebody says he could make one of these or the others fields listed above, because the more airports the scenery has, the better it will be :)

I would say that approx 7 airfields would be enough, evenly spaced out covering different terrain areas.

Post by Geier2b » Mon Jan 23, 2006 9:16 pm

i would like to see unterwössen in the souther bavarian scenery.flying there i can say that it's alway a great point to start a long flight in the alps.
if anyone wants to do it i could send many fotos and data about the airport.

Unterwoessen will be included, see above.
It's too important to be left out ;)

Nice looking scenery, and it looks like its mostly hilly terrain which is pretty good for ridge gliding.

And then you may hope that you have not to land between the hills :D

i agree with you hotelalpha...

i'm working on the textures since sunday and, as i think that i've found the right coloration for the alps in our region now, i might be able to post some new shots soon, featuring new, more realistic textures :)
