Thrustmaster joystick compatibility

Hey. I wanted to ask if this joystick (https://www.alza.cz/gaming/thrustmaster ... .htm#popis) is compatible with Condor? I can't find any answer online for this joystick. Thanks.

Any joystick compatible with windows ought to work. However, I cant tell if it has twist rudder or not. Thats something you probably want for condor (unless you're using rudder pedals).

Pretty much universally accepted around here (and elsewhere) is that the best joystick you can buy, is a used microsoft sidewinder forcefeedback 2. The "2" is important. I say used, because it hasnt been sold new for more than a decade, so you'll need to find it used. If you can find one, get one. They are fantastic, and almost indestructible. Prices are all over the map, Ive seen them sold for <€20 to >€100, but they are worth it regardless.

We agree on the MSFFB2. Due to the Patent coverage in the US, there have been no new force feedback joysticks for over 10 years, so it's the only one for now.

Incidentally, if anyone has a broken MSFFB2 they want to dispose of, please contact me. I have a project in mind and don't want to dismantle mine

Well, there has been a (demo) metal FFB stick from the Dutch company Paccus. It is/was the HAWK. But it's price was a bit too high...
The webshop is down, but this is what was reported in 2014 :

They started the project in 2005. In 2009 the aim was to provide the hydraulic force feedback system licensed to companies like Logitech, Microsoft and Razer. The expected retail price should have been between 250 and 400 euros. They demoed the stick in 2011 on Flightsim exhibitions.

The status on their site says that the focus now is on the Pro version.
"Our focus is on the PRO at the moment. The HAWK is not available until enough funding has been raised."

I have seen and used some other force feedback joysticks well after MS discontinued their sidewiders. Logitech had one, the G940 introduced in 2009, and thrusmaster too once upon a time, its still findable on their site, though I dont think they still sell it. The problem was they where rubbish, the force feedback didnt work anywhere as good as the MS FFB2 - I had the thrustmaster, and threw it away.

As for the patent issue; I heard that before, so I googled it. Kinda weird, in july 2003 microsoft discontinued all their sidewinder products, due to "lack of demand":

A few weeks later they settled a lawsuit with immersion for the force feedback technology, and licensed their technology:

But they never made another joystick .

Anyway, that patent probably has expired by now.
