Re: Nvidea graphics card..
The graphics card to be preferred is Nvidea because
1.Most widely used.
2.Best in performance.
3.Avaliable in different ranges.
Choose the best that suits you.

How did you solve it Wiley, or are you simply referring to using the low resolution textures instead?Wiley wrote:I found the problem, sort of. There are two versions of "Oahu HD". One is standard density (11.25M) and the other is 'Photorealistic' (1.41M). I can only fly 10 minutes of the 1.41 but I just spent 1h45m with the 11.25 with no problems, FPS were 50-90. The 1.41 is just too dense for my Toshiba.
I consider my blue screen problem solved. Thanks for all the help hitzi and Marek.
I used EVGA's "Precision" to manually turn my GTX260's cooling fan to 100% RPM. After Oahu HD blue screened again, I looked at the temperature and memory history graphs and they had plenty of headroom. In fact the temperature reading had only gone up 1 degree from "idle" temp, and stayed there the entire time Condor was running.hitzi wrote:Can you try to monitor memory usage of your computer when you fly with condor?
I've run memory tests, lowered my memory clock speed and ratios, pulled out memory sticks (in case my motherboard was struggling), tried all kinds of different graphic settings... I've thought about emailing my logs to support@soaringsim.com but not sure anyone monitors that anymore.

Choose the best that suits you.I think ATI would disagree especially as they have been the gamers choice over the last 12 months or so & have an extensive range offering excellent value.

Hello,
I'm digging up an old post so the last post is from 2010.
As of 2021, a lot of people use Virtual Reality with occulus headset.
I am astonished on the other hand that we never discuss the adjustments directly of the Nvidia cards and to see how are adjusted for your glasses occulus the various elements of your graphics cards.
Screens of your settings would be the best.
I know in any case for other simulator such as the new flight simulator opus, that the adjustment of the Nvidia graphic card according to the parameters indicated can make all the difference.
Thank you to those who have small graphics cards like me GTX1060 Max-Q, for sharing your Nvidia setting for virtual reality.
