to turn off the cockpit on the view press either the control and F1 keys together or Shift and F1 keys toghether. I can not remember which one will do it, but of the above commands will.

Put that one in the 'wishes for the future' thread, it's a necessity for cockpit building.

Panel info

Now you need to buy a broken glider, cut off the cockpit and then build your realistic glider panel and feed the info from Condor programme into it via purchased instruments and connecting cards from here. Couple up some pots onto the stick and rudders connect those back and bingo!

http://www.simkits.com/

Relatively cheap

Easy compared to the F16 cockpit I was going to build with working mfd's etc. (Worked out around £5.5K!!)

I would rather buy a glider

As I have been passing this information later, you should also check with the guys at SimMeters ( http://www.simmeters.com ) as I have been told they are developing a whole line of instruments for Condor, at a much lower price than other alternatives.

Check it out

Look at other threads about instruments because this product should be ready any time soon (2 weeks ? )

Really excited about that.

The SIMMETERS lcd based virtual instrument panel along with a Matrox Triple Head2Go 3 monitor surround running off the second grapghics card output will make a very reasonably priced desktop cockpit simulator ! Hope that Condor will be able to run in at least 768 X 3072 in the future for this .

I think, simplier vere the output of data from PC with condor to second old PC with installed simkit software and 1 monitor.
This setup is useable too with 2048x768 3D stereo setup.
In this time in simkit is no real support for import data from other PC.

It is OK, It is possible with comercial version of simmeters software running on 2. PC :-)

Is it possible to change the key to hide the instrument panel? Or perhaps hide it by default?

No Ctrl - F1 if i remember correctly.

There is also an INI file in the Condor2 folder somewhere where you can set the default startup state.
