Computer and Video cards

Post by Allen » Thu Jun 27, 2019 2:37 pm

Anyone who can help,

We are at the stage of purchasing the computer and video cards for our simulator, which has 5 projectors to give the maximum 'surround' effect.

Can anyone recommend 'the best' computer motherboard and video cards (should there be 2 or 3?) to drive the projectors. We do not want to 'buy cheap' and regret it later!

Thank you for any advice,

Allen

One video card.

Condor will not use multiple cards

I use a radeon HD5870 eyefinity 6. It is rather old now but still runs 5x 1024x768 at 60 fps. And has 6 mini display port outputs. If you buy a card make sure you get enough digital outputs. Windows only supports 2 analog displays

Many thanks for the information - especially concerning the fact that Condor will only use one video card!
That had completely escaped my notice.

Any ideas on a suitable motherboard would also be appreciated.

Best wishes,

Allen
