My hang-gliding cockpit set-up... obviously powered by Condor !!
Just hoping for the future: a hangglider as part of one of the planepacks (for proper gliding ratio, with audio vario, compulsary non-rudder gliding) and some XC online competition for this type

Now that could be really good if it had some sort of motion device attached to it.

Hi Mayeric
It is very nice!
What kind of glider are you using with this sim?
Have you adjust the glide ratio of your hang glider in opening the air brakes of the glider you use in the sim?
Can you confirm that your relative position from your control bar activate the potentiometers of special kind of joy stick?
Good flight

I bet that would work as it is if Condor had been written for the Wii Kinetic, Son has one and some of the spec's are astounding.

Actuelly, it DOES work as it is : not visible on the picture, but there is an infrared LED on the harness, which horizontal position is captured by a webcam on the ceiling. This position is then converted to a virtual joystick input in Condor (thanks to a combinaison of FreeTrack for motion detection and PPJoy for joystick emulation). You pilot with the harness motion, just like in real life !!
As for configuring condor, I just use whatever glider has an audio vario (necessary to identify thermals what you hide the cockpit view). Playing online, I am not so much interested in being the only pilot with a L/D of 12 when everybody else is 45 !
Could be interesting to test L/D with different airbrakes position though, for freeflight....
But L/D is one thing, and speed is another: so you need need to have both consistent for real hangglider representativity.

Re: Condor for hang-gliding simulator
Hi Xavier. For whatever reason I can't see your photo but I would be very interested to learn more about your setup.
I'm a paragliding pilot and want to use Condor for training. I'm after a very simple setup as I'm currently traveling and living in a van so the less the better.
I've found this low budget solution: https://www.cumulus-soaring.com/store/c ... andard-kit
As I have no experience with Condor yet, my first question is - do I need pedals or can play without them?
Another is: what in particular shall I pay attention if my main focus is pg? Any advice from you as a Hg pilot will be very appreciated.
