LLC 2007 : when ? ;o)

Post by Simicro » Wed Aug 16, 2006 9:28 pm

Hi Vertigo,

I'm bad, I have not visited this part of the forum for a long time

When do you plan to launch LLC 2007 ? October ? November ?

Of course we will not take it as set in stone

I started a topic on french forum to raise awareness and prepare the minds...

http://condorsim.free.fr/forum/viewtopic.php?t=568

I wonder if in the future LLC site, on the french country page (maybe also swiss or belgium), you could make a link toward french forum or site ?

Also the polish and british teams to mention only them might be interested to have a link towards the right thread in this forum ?

Preparations for LLC '07 have grinted to a halt over the last 2 months, but I should have more time in the coming weeks.

The plan is still to kick off october first, with several practice sessions starting in a month or so.

As for linking to various country specific boards; I might, but I also feel fragmentation of our community is not the best thing either. Isnt it easier to have dedicated subthreads ( like the Polish and UK teams ) or subforums (if uros and GR set this upà ? You only have 1 forum to check then,...

Hi Vertigo,
Will we have to reregister for LLC 2007? Or will the pilot profiles from the last LLC be used in LLC 2007? The reason I ask this is because it would be annoying to find out when registering that some one else has registered using my CN.

What i'm impressed of besides Condor itself is the community. People spend their own time to create sceneries, to organize competitions - this is the huge efforts. I even feel myself confused because i have no time to contribute to such activities and just consume their outcome for free... So the only thing i can do is to express my respect to all of you guys who are doing all these things. :!:

Been away and 'occupied' for a while, but now trying to get our new server up. Hopefully this sunday we could do a first practice session, I'll keep you posted.

Are the session times the same as the last year or can we vote for it again?

Hi Vertigo,

You need people to be server again? It's a nice test for DS helper and all the other stuff to see if it works...

3MB download and 512 kb/s upload.

hope it is not at the same time as JGP :?:

Jeroen, don't stop CGP yet. I'll use other hours/days for the practice sessions.

Yes, we will use pretty much the same roster of LLC06 (thursday and sunday). I may do a poll on the times though.

Do we need hosters ? Don't know yet. I hope not, but if the new server will be fast enough, I wil only know after having tried it.
