I would like to join the ranks of the thankful.. :D

It has been a great season, flying in a community who has had me coming back for more and more and more....
I have never played a simulator for this long before, and I'm nowhere near stopping.

A big thank you the Lowlands team for enduring threats of lawsuits, while providing the community with challenging tasks.

Looking forward to the next installment of Lowlands!

Also another big thanks to the makers of Condor, Uros and Gregor, for providing us with such a nice tool keep the soaring-itch at bay...

BR

Thank you for for putting so much effort and time into this project and estabishing such a perfect and reliable competition!

I guess many of us never had so much fun in front a computer.

I wish you all a pleasant season in 2006 and hope to see you all again in Winter.

Thank you to the LLC team. Only got to fly a small percentage of the Sunday and Thursday nights, but they were well worth the time spent.

Maybe over the summer months to fill the voids on thursday and sundays, we the pilots, could organise XC and training flights using the LLC tasks.

Once again many thanks for those evenings and I hope the summer flying season is excellent :)

I did not participate some last races, for one ore another reasons.
But I must admit, that now when this event is ended, I feel a kind of sadness.

Thanx to all that help put in life this great competition, and hope, that we will see each other again on similar event!

Regards!

Reading the flightreports of Day 51 I even got more sad I could not join :(

Many thanks to the LLC Team and the Hosts for their effort and time and I really hope we will meet again in next years competition. It was great fun to fly together with you.

Greetings, WD

It's all been said.. From my part I joined at the beginning of the year and knew nothing of competition soaring let alone too much about gliding. I am still not a great performer with much to learn, but Condor and the LLC plus Team UK have taught me so much... Thank you ALL for creating such a stimulating experience. I will now go study and practise for LLC later in the year.

Thanks again, over and out.

Of course I'm very gratefull for all the work that LLC-team did.
But in all these posts there is still one thing missing:
Thank you all pilots which made it such fun to fly these tasks.
For me the biggest fun part of flying lowlands was the part of flying with 30 ppl on the same server.
Hope to see all you guys at the summer-edition of LLC (Vertigo? ;) )

Thank you all!

Just got back from istanbul; looks like I missed a great race :(
I won't have much time until this weekend, then I'll sort out the prizegiving.

The "thank you's" are much appreciated, and I'm glad and slightly proud LLC has become such a success but I don't want to take credit for much more than having the idea.

LLC would simply not have worked at all if it werent for Bjorn (Blom), doing the majority of the hard/late work of scoring the results, SL for making some fantastic tasks (/briefings) and using his RL competition experience, SWT for some of the most complex SQL queries I have ever seen and that I couldn't have managed in a million years. Also not to be forgotten: SysIT (Tommy Kristiansen) for giving us access to a root server, something not easily (or cheaply) found ! Last not but not least: the server hosts and the entire Condor community.

Well that is news to me
I wouldn't count on it Rudy, not this year, as I doubt I will have the time.

From me also a big Thank You to everyone who spent his personal spare time to make LLC possible!!!
I discovered Condor and LLC a few weeks ago and had a really great time with you all - as a currently inactive real-world soaring pilot lacking time and money for this wonderful hobby, I'm very glad that there is such a realistic soaring simulator and such a lively community! See you all at the next LLC!
