Day 48
I joind the MH server today and everthing went well until the start of the race.
On the 1st leg, a few moments after the start, the FPS rate lowered dramatically to 1-2 FPS.
Also the ping went sky high to 700 and more.
For a couple of minutes I waited for this "freeze" to improve.
Unfortunately it didn't and I ended up with a stable 1 FPS.....
Too bad, no other option than to disconnect!! Next sunday the FPS will be with me I hope.
Ciao

I guess in Condor you are lost, when you dont expect any wave with 9kp/h wind.
Too bad that i counted on thermals at first.... got me a measly 116kph average.
I hope that someday this totally unrealistic wave behaviour will be fixed.
To the LLC folks: next time, i suggest you set the wind to 0. So no waves can form.....
Happy landings

dont hold your breath/sleep. I scored the results that where in (JH and Fredo2), but bjorn has suffered a harddisk crash, and I'm off to bed in 10 minutes, so the other results won't be online until sometime tomorrow
edit: MK and fredo1 also came in and are scored.. the rest is for later

My first LLC race; had a great time.
Went quite a while without finding any lift, then hit some strong sink just on the wrong side of a ridge and ended up trying to outland in one of the small clearings about 15-20km short of the TP, in the narrow valley to the left of track.
Got my attitude confused without a horizon, and ended up spinning in from about 50m AGL as I turned final to avoid some trees.
I'll hopefully do a little better next time!

For some reason I still cannot make the mental switch from RL weather to "Condor weather".
With only 9 km/h wind and the ridges hardly working, it never struck my mind that there could be wave anywhere.
Hmmm... well, at least there were some thermals and I made it home.
After start, it took an awfull long time to find one and I saw a lot of pilots take a second start.
After that it was a matter of staying high and use the occasional lift that emerged from the ridges.
Tough at times, but still a nice task.
Thanks again, LLC team.

hello it havez to be correct the last the speeds are close and 55km/h is bad but the sdame if 80 if its so low and CB did get 3penaltys so it have to be correctStupid Question: How can an avg. Speed of 55.4 Km/h beat 100.1 km/h ?
There is of course a penalty of 3 (Cloud flying before start ), but it doesn't seem right.
asw20 - I think that uder certain speed (I think it is 2/3 of winner speed) You do not gain any points for speed, only for distance, so everyone who finishes with speed slower than 2/3 of winner will have exactly same points (for same kms) and speed does not matter anymore, so any penalty will drop you down under ...
You see thatt ... pilots marked 61-65 should be in fact marked all with position 61 as they have same points.

As swt explained (and explained in detail in our rules page.. same as RL scoring). That said, someone flying for 3h30 (+ jointime and warmup, which means > 4 hours total), I think deserves some pointsAsw20Pilot wrote:Stupid Question: How can an avg. Speed of 55.4 Km/h beat 100.1 km/h ?
