Validating start of a badge flght
Can I just ask for a little clarification on starting badge flights.
I spent a lot of time getting my silver distance because I was starting the flight by taking a screenshot of the red and yellow pole, flying the task, then finding the task was invalid due to no start.
I subsequently found out that you have to press 'S' twice; actually taking 2 screenshots. This results in the start pole turning from red and yellow to red and white so you know you have started.
Am I to understand that badge starts have a different start routine to other task flights?
If this is the case, it may save others some frustration if the information was more prominently available.
Regards
Tony

Hi , to turn a "no PDA" turnpoint you have to be in it's green zone , and make one screenshot of it's base from left wing - there is no need for two screens , it doesn't matter if it's a badge flight or any other (ex. for "no pda" ASW22 the same rules applies)and one more thing in condor 1.09 (and i suppose in 1.10 too) TP's are limited to 5000m max altlitude so be shure you are below 5000m
gl with your badges, sorry for poor english

Hi,
Um...generally a great video Finally I know how to navigate
But still I've got some problem and I'd like to ask you to help me. My problem is - what if the first (start) sector is not south/north/east/west but there is some angle? Like, for example, in the current Speedbattle Classic task? Can you explain it to me in details? I would be very grateful.

Generally it's a matter of preparing a flight!
In the GUI you have to study carefully the MAP. In the TASK-Section of the Flightplanner you can see the map and/or print it. To get the courses, you have to estimate them by doing the following, as a hint :
Look for a perpendicular line and a level line (expl.: > Edges of Taskplaner),
Set the beginning of the Start line at the crossing of these lines
Rest is selfexplaining in the attached JPG. Do the maths on ya own
Hope it helps
