Condor setup
Condor setup
I have just setup Condor for gliding club sim. I have two questions, I anm sure they have been asked before but lost the will searching all the forums..
1. Screen resolution. I have come up against the 1920 x 480 and dirct3d problem. Running two projectors through a triple head to go and have a screen of 3200 pixels, It will run in windows mode, but only at said 1920 pixels. So how can I stretch it to use all the screen?
2. I have setup a pot for air brakes and when flying I get the sound of someone hitting the side of the aircraft with a hammer. What is this..? The air brakes are correctly set and work, but I still keep getting the noise. If I open the the leaver slightly the noise goes away..
Cheers

2. I always hear a clunk when I open and close the spoilers. is that what you're hearing? Re-reading your description, I think it's different.
Re: Condor setup
its like a continues clonking like someone is hitting a hammer. It could be the clonk from opening the spoliers, but I get it every second or so. If I pull the air brake back a little it disappears..

Re: Condor setup
Does the animated pilot's arm move in conjunction with the clunking noise? If so could be dirty pot. You could map the spoiler to another key/button and see if the noise goes away for diagnostic purposes.

Re: Condor setup
Calibrate the pot but don't close it all the way when calibrating. That should solve the clunking. Or maybe you can setup a deadzone for your pot.

Re: Condor setup
Sounds fair,
the pilots arm doesn't move, I calibrated the pot under the windows games controller (leobodner) and then just set the control in condor. there is no way in condor of reducing the movement.. So looks like its going to be down to playing with the windows setup
Thanks

Re: Condor setup
Thats how i do it in our Gliderclubs simulator. We have an original mechanical lock from the donor cockpit. I calibrate airbrakes closed to the point where the lever hits the lock. That way I ensure that if the lever is fully in the lock any electrical noise in the pot will not cause the airbrake to jitter in and out of the lock in condor.
