Re: Condor 2.0? honesty please
What will the hardware and software requirements be for Comdor 2.0?
Thank you,

Repost of the info from the Facebook page...
We suggest a dedicated GPU with 1gb and a i5 or i7 is ok.
The GPU should have benchmark (www.videocardbenchmark.net) result of 1000 minimum. 4000 is very good, and 8000 perfect. As always more is better
An onboard GPU is usable, but with severely reduced graphics settings.

New PC bought and tested. New large screen bought and tested. Took wife to a dinner and gave the memo. I'm ready, bring it on!

The first time you'll get a Microsoft product, that doesn't suck, will be the day they start producing vacuum cleaners.

Nah, not yet. The resolution is still too crappy, the devices are too heavy (with our hobby you need to wear it for hours...), even the brand new "pro" version does not seem to be worth the asked money out of my view.jolk wrote:Don’t forget to buy a VR headset
I keep checking new hardware - but I guess VR headsets will take some 2-3 more years until I want to buy one.
Track IR works really great (using the pro clip), it is kinda cheap.

I actually find that Condorsoaring is perfectly playable with the coolie hat in our joystick for view pan... No need even for TIR, although sometimes I use it, but it tends to cause dizziness in Condor v1

I beg to differ on that one. Only fly sims using my Rift now, everything else just feels like I'm sitting at a desk. Agree the resolution isn't the best, but never had any issue with weight, and I've used mine for many hours at a time. I also find the field of view a bit restrictive, but for me the pros far outweigh the cons! Each to their own I guessFlightbase wrote:Nah, not yet. I've just arrived here to see if somebody was talking about Sebastian Nägel and what he said about Condor.MARCU365 wrote:https://youtu.be/PQiGPk_QVv0
