Hi,
The Competition number (C/N) is used both in Condor and Real Life soaring.
In Condor, it is used in competition's automated scoring systems, which requires unique C/Ns.

You can (should) register your unique C/N at http://www.condor-club.eu if you plan to take part in any serious competition, now or in the future.

C/N's are a maximum of 3 characters and may consist of any combination of letters and numbers.

In real life its normaly used as callsign on the radio. Its a lot easier to remember 2 or 3 letters/numbers in sted of whole registrations. Pilots are lasy :P .

They are also used on results of races. That why they are called Competition numbers. More or less like the numbers on the formula 1 cars.
