As it's a flight school, they could add setting the tower frequency into their checklist. That would seem to be the right way to train pilots. And having the frequency set wrong to begin with is an advantage

Our Glider Academy is located at Hartness State Airport in VT I'm actually finishing a landscape around Oklahoma, will be finished February/March. Next landscape will be then Maine, including Hartness airport, will be finished in May maybe. But it's done so far that it's flyable, "only" the airport...
