Re: cross country not logging milage
In reference to my last post, the X-country task I'm using to learn on is the Slovenia 2 [1.00] flight plan.

Re: cross country not logging milage
My problem is that in the task I'm trying to fly, everything is clear except the finish. It's obscured by the takeoff point (the finish and takeoff point are on top of each other) and you really can't see how the task should be completed. When I figure out how to take and save a screen shot of the f...

Re: Minimum Finish Altitude
I found this in the archives.
I'm trying to get a grip on it but it seems like exactly what you're talking about here.
Am I wrong?

Re: AAT Task?
Another acronym needing deciphering for a beginner. What is an ATT Task?

A request to the administrators here/ Acronyms
I am in awe of your skills and understanding of the aeronautical language used here and understand it's probably common knowledge in the flight community to understand the acronyms used here. But for people like me who are new to the program, not so much. And while some of them are intuitive, some o...
Re: Gear Axis
Since I'm a rank beginner, when I first started, immediately after launch, would I hit the pause button, then the external view to see the position of the gear. Now, after a few hours of practice, immediately after releasing from the tug I automatically hit the gear button to retract the gear. You c...

cross country not logging milage
Only about 1 in 4 of my X-country flights in free flight are logging mileage. The flight plan I'm using is a 45 mile triangle and is taking about 1hr-25 minutes What am I missing/ doing wrong? And do all the turning points and finish have to be done clockwise as it seems on the lesson plan. Also, I ...

Re: How do I identify start and finish gates
Jan. Thank you for responding. I finally understand the 0-160 reference at the Turning point now. I just have to remember to convert the meters to feet. Duh. I really appreciate the help I'm getting and not being called an idiot. I flew Huey's in Viet Nam back in the day, but a lot of water has pass...

Re: How do I identify start and finish gates
Thanks guys. There is no mention of min/ max altitude that I can find in the manual but I'll look again. So, there is no "gate", only the vertical markers? And I will re-read your comments several more times to make sure I'm understanding. The map on my PDA is hard to read but I'm learning. Thank yo...

Re: How do I identify start and finish gates
I have the HUD, task helpers and lift helpers enabled and I get the count down, the beeps and the race has started message. I've entered the start gate (I guess that's what it is) - between the two markers from both directions and I get no acknowledgement that I've started. I fly it almost every oth...

How do I identify start and finish gates
I'm using the pre-set flight plans and the map shows a different start and finish gate but I've yet to successfully start or finish thru either one. I'm flying the prescribed plan and turning at the TP's but get no acknowledgement from the program and it (the program) is not recording distance flown...

Re: External view commands in Condor 2.0
Thanks for the replies jJanjansen.
I appreciate it.
The cruise mode actually sounds like a great option.
But the PDA zoom + and - are pre-programmed on the new Condor keypad ???
Anyway, I'll figure it out with what help you've already given me.
Thanks again. I love this group.

Re: New Condor Keypad
Paul, et al, I just received my Condor Keypad and I like it very much, but I have a suggestion. We all seem to have different preferences as to what command should be on it and where that command needs to be on the keypad. For example, I like the instrument panel zoom and use a lot more than some of...
