Re: What’s the best Force Feedback solutions for 2018 / Condor V2?

I bought two. One is still going strong, one is in storage (in a plastic bag, with a pile of silica gel packs). I'm not looking forward to the day they are both broken, because there hasn't been anything close in a long time. I'm afraid force-feedback is pretty much dead at the consumer level. ...wh...

Re: SFS3 - DOS glider sim

Apologies for the delay. I was away on business and only just now had a chance to revisit this thread. The CD that I have is SFSpc 4. I know I had 3 at one point, but the only CD I have is 4. Here's an ISO (I made the ISO on my Mac, because I only have SSD drives in my Windows PC... But I am able to...

Re: SFS3 - DOS glider sim

I spent many, many, many hours with SFS3. I installed it and played it a bit a year or two ago, and was still impressed by the gameplay. There were many "little things" in that game that I loved. I think I still have the CD. Cheers, -Mark Rebuck, US Nightly Soaring / Monday Night Soaring Administrat...

Re: Update 2.0.3 and JS1C released

Excellent update! Fixed all the "little things" that were driving me nuts and ruining the immersion... PDA is no longer distorted, PDA is in a reasonable position in the Cirrus, curved bits of the cockpit look like curves instead of origami, full screen emulation is back. Thanks for continuing the i...

Re: JS-1

While the delay of the JS-1 is a bummer, I'm really glad to hear that you are working on the PDA aspect ratio issue, and that it will be in 2.0.3!

Thanks for continue to fix issues in addition to releasing the new stuff.

Cheers,

Re: ASI font poll

I'm looking forward to goodies for V2 on condor-club. The inside of the cockpit needs a bunch of new gauges. I'm also looking for the patch when the dev teams renders the PDA properly so circles are circular. (I love V2, but still feel like all the gains made in the visuals outside the cockpit are o...

Re: Cumulus clouds dissipation

The whispies in 2.0.2 look much nicer than the increasingly-small-cottonballs of 2.0.1.

Thanks, dev team!

Re: PDA too low - Std Cirrus

I agree with Dan. Do a google image search on "glider cockpit pda", and find one even close to as low as the one in the Std Cirrus. The one is the Cirrus in just begging to get destroyed by the pilot's knee :-). Also: Can we get confirmation from the dev team that the PDA is being rendered on a 16:9...

Re: Recorded competition. To participate offline

It is worth noting that downloading .FTR files and flying against the tracks can cause timing issues. Most contests are done on a server which has some amount of "join time", which ends up adding to the time before the race really starts. The "join time" is followed by the "race in" time, and finall...

Re: Try To Beat Bruno Vassel's Utah State Record

Could someone upload the task to condor-club.eu so it can be flown even if the server isn't up (like now, for example ;-)) ?

Re: PDA screen proportions

I dug out the calipers and did the math: The width of the "circles" on the PDA is approximately 75% of the height. The arc cosine of 0.75 is 41.4 degrees. The PDA screen is clearly not face-on, but it isn't 41 degrees either. It feels like 20 degrees, based on my super-scientific method of "Held up ...

Re: PDA screen proportions

OXO, Please reconsider this design. Circles should be... Circular. I know Condor is your baby, and nobody likes to be told that their baby isn't perfect, but... This is nuts. Even the flight track screen shows circles as tall ovals. Find one other example of a GPS which does not show a circular move...

Re: Audio Issues

For me, I get absolutely zero sound unless I have the "3D Sound" checkbox selected. That applies regardless of the playback device I have selected in Windows (Logitech G430 headset or NVIDIA HD Audio out to the 1080P HDTV which I use as my monitor).

Re: Force Feedback stopped working

+1 vote for this issue. In V1, I could always get FF working again by bringing Condor back to focus by clicking on the Condor icon on the taskbar. That doesn't appear to work in V2. Actually, if I click on the Condor2 icon on the taskbar, I can feel my joystick (Microsoft FFB2... best... joystick......
