Re: Stick fluttering

Well, I have been away from Condor2 for a couple of years, for various reasons, among others 5 laptop system crashes. In september last year I re-installed Condor2 and a couple of my favorite landscapes of which "AA2" was v0.8. I also installed a couple of updates, but I don't remember for which lan...

Re: Stick fluttering

Hi, that simply means that you are about to stall the plane. Increase speed and the stick shaking disappears.
An aerodynamic stall occurs when you exceed the angle of attack of the wing and is a dangerous situation, which may easily result in a crash.

Black Thursday

:(

Shadows in this scenery are too dark.
In some situations, like in this picture, the scenery shadows and Condor2's calculated shadows are added and it becomes impossible to see details, depth, obstacles, and the path to continue the flight.
Just total blackness.!

Re: Using XCSoar for Android with Condor over Wifi: Setup Guide

How to convert a Flight plan (.fpl) from Condor Server and load into Android XCSoar: This is how I do it under Windows. There are no doubt better ways... :? Re: Using XCSoar for Android with Condor over Wifi: Setup Guide

I just use bluetooth with my tablet & it works fine. Not all of the cheaper tablets (like the Galaxy Tab4 7") do support all Bluetooth profiles. For instance, my new Samsung Galaxy Tab4 7" tablet misses support for the Bluetooth SPP (Serial Port Profile) profile, which I think would have given the ...

Re: LOW-END Gliding event- Participants comments.

Nahhh, that's a cartoon. :D But, here is the real thing! After I first saw the creatures, I flinched and fell flat on my back. My PDA must have taken this photo by accident. I found it this morning while checking if it still works. BTW, this is one of the babys. Sorry for the quality, after ...

I found the Monster!

Well, believe it or not, I found the monster ! Or better, it found me. There I was, flying very low over water-soaked hills in a borrowed Ventus (sorry Angus, I email you the coordinates where I parked it), while still trying to revive my previously water-soaked PDA... I now know why the Loc...

Re: LOW-END Gliding event- Participants comments.

Aaaargh! Not only did I lose my ASW28 in a very nasty bird strike enroute, the only thing I could rescue from the wreckage was my beloved iPaq! After being picked up by a friendly helicopter pilot, I joined the others and put my iPaq on the bar to dry. When I saw SOI's new helmet, well, the rest of...

Re: LOW-END Gliding event- Participants comments.

Hi John, Great idea to revive the legendary Low-(L)End spirit to get us through the winter! Some of the nice things of those "Mother of all Condor competitions" were the hilarious briefings and ofcourse the pilot's stories after a race. For me, the first training/test task was not a great succes. I ...

Re: Condor freezes when aerotow take off!!

One other thing I seem to remember on this issue and may be worth checking: Make sure you have at least the WDDM 1.1 driver for your specific Intel internal HDxxxx graphics board. Depending on your Laptop's Hardware implementation for internal- and external displays, the WDDM 1.0 driver may not supp...

Re: Condor freezes when aerotow take off!!

For those who suffer from this problem and still haven't tried my possible solution: Download "MSI Afterburner" and down -clock the graphics card's Core clock and Memory clock by, say, 100 Mhz each. It cannot do any harm, start Condor and just see what happens. Mind you, flying fast on a HD scenery ...

Re: Condor freezes when aerotow take off!!

Of course the problem is Condor related, that's why you're making a point and asked a question on this forum.
I posted a possible solution, that worked on my laptop.
All you need to do is try it on your system.

Good luck.

Re: Condor freezes when aerotow take off!!

Problems like this can be anything between the way Condor coding interfaces with DirectX, internal component overheating, graphics drivers issues, chipset issues, graphics engine issues, crappy voltage regulators, just plane hardware faults, etc. Things that are very difficult to diagnose by us, use...
