Re: Condor 2 no longer running up???????

Hi all SEEMINGLY NOW RESOLVED - this is what happened for those who may suffer similar. Saturday night's PC close down prompted for Windows update/restart which I accepted. Sunday afternoon when running Condor 2 up before checking the logs I had no further 'Provider load failure' issue (which afer a...

Re: Condor 2 no longer running up???????

A search of the forum suggests that this is the first time 'Provider load failure' has been posted so it must be unusual and being a warning within Condor 2 presumably points to an issue which even if not common might be identifiable? Some more info in the hope that it helps pinpoint the issue. Apar...

Re: Condor 2 no longer running up???????

I've looked at the logs and can't see anything obvious - but my computer knowledge is low. However whilst doing so I left the blue circle spinning and it turns out that after around 3 mintues a message in the same sized small retangle comes up. This simply says 'Provider load failure' and if you pre...

Condor 2 no longer running up???????

Hi there After finishing the task on Tuesday night Regata Pirineos I was watching other finishers with F8 and whilst doing so as the gloriously pink K8 was approaching the finish Condor hung and stopped responding. There was no BSOD and I can't remember whether Condor died naturally or whether I had...

Re: CWC 2021 Server drop out

Hi John Yes a pity, I should have continued off line but heard that Server F had been set up with a time offset but then couldn't find it and the listings for other servers presumably set up after our server crashed all said 'Host not found' and din't have anyone on them. I was going to try it off-l...

Re: BCC :: Benalla Condor Competition :: 15m Class | Oct. 22nd - Dec. 10th, 2020

Hi Marc Very frustrating! Using a very low rated graphics card I took the advice of deleting the many 3d articles and to date no problems with the scenery - maybe that quick fix will be enough. My only issue is with the pilot's decision making and ability - perhaps he might make the first tp next we...

Re: CoTASA V2.2 (VNE alarm, horizon, etc)

Hi Marc

Yes many thanks - I will enjoy testing this - hopefully not to destruction.

Looking forward to not accidentally turning off my task timer every other flight :-).

Re: MCC :: Marpingen Condor Competition :: 18 metre Class

Hi PIT

Thanks very much to you for organising it - interesting and fun as usual, although maybe less testing than some as I usually have a land out or two :-).

The thermals seemed stronger and cloudbase higher in Germany but I sense a more testing time is to come.

Really appreciated.

Re: Weather settings & FPS

Hi Jarmo An interesting exercise but your post has kicked off a real dose of FPS envy. I use what I have always known to be a sub-optimal PC for Condor 2 and it seems that lower cloudbases and/or larger clouds often cause the greatest problems with the FPS. In some cases especially towards the top o...

Re: CoTASA new functionalities ?

Hi Marc No idea if it is possible but if you could persaude COTASA to show the time of the last task start I'm sure it would be useful. I can't be the only one that finds starting complicated enough and fails to notice the time or make a note of it. The stopwatch is very useful but I seem to be more...

Condor World Cup 2020 - problems joining

Hi all Training day 02 January 2020 - it seems that most got onto the 19:15 UTC server A, but three of us were kicked twice each for corrupted gliders and by the time we checked for a missed Hangar update that wasn't there and tried again neither server was accepting new joiners. We all tried with t...

Re: BCC :: Belgium Condor Competition :: 18 metre Class

Hi PIT Thanks for all the stats but I just get more confused all the time - heavy or light, faster or slower? Whichever way its Just nice to see what the sweet spot was on that day and occasionally in knowing that you may even have got close to it - even if that may just have been by good fortune. I...
