Thank you and I will try and fly in this.
Fixed it! As I guessed the problem was the terrain. I was making a Condor scenery area larger than the terrain data that I had. I was using SRTM .hgt files. There was only one for the area I needed (S08W015) and this file only just covered the South of the Island. So how to extend the terrain data t...
Thanks Thierry, but those two files have been created by the Landscape Editor and renewed each time and often. I have stripped the scenery back to its basics, even no textures. My only remaining thought is the terrain. The SRTM file I used only just covered the southern part of the island, which is ...
Yes interesting to see that I am not the only one it has happened to. Cannot understand why size should be an issue as I have 4x4 sceneries with no problem, also Jbr guide has a 4x4 scenery. I have made the scenery anew from scratch and it is still the same. Would it not be unreasonable for the Cond...
I thought I knew my way around scenery making, but today this problem is a first. I have made a new 8x8 scenery for my own use of Ascension Island. Created some textures using the water alpha tool and included all the essential files, although the .cup file has no data yet. When I tried to run the s...
Yes they are both Condor 2 sceneries. Shortly after West UK was released I was requested to extend the size of the scenery to enable Wales to be accessed from gliding sites such as Camphill and Dunstable. Thus West-UK2 was created. On a side note during lockdown I have created a new scenery called S...

The Landscape editor will not automatically create an accurate thermal map. What is required is that you create bmp file same dimensions as the flight planner bmp. Then from whatever sources are best for you (i.e. from openstreet) create a image that portrays the scenery area. Convert this image int...
I have been requested to make some additions to the West-UK2 scenery. Brent Tor have supplied some additional objects for their site. The Staffordshire Gliding Club have noted that they have been missed of the scenery (Ooops!). I have also added 3 more airfields to the scenery. So a patch to modify ...

I have found this tool extremely useful for creating sceneries. It does also has the ability to create synthetic textures using downloaded seamless textures of your choice.
I tried to make some 3D objects for a larger area (about 4 villages). Got them converted into .obj file no problem (Blender has a free OSM addon which works well). Problems: c3d files only allow one texture, so if you split the OSM objects into two parts (roofs and walls), you can only texture one, ...
