Re: HP Reverb G2 - VR Setup Guide for Condor 2

No joy. The desktop shortcut only brings up the desktop shortcut creation dialog again. I don't see anything on there that says start condor, just success that the shortcut was created. I have uninstalled and reinstalled revive including the build you talked about and the newest and neither worked a...

Re: HP Reverb G2 - VR Setup Guide for Condor 2

Yes on the revive helper tool instal but its not working for me. I will try the whole shutdown and restart in order. I hope if i get it working its worth it. The field of view in the H2 is so limited and getting it positioned so enough is in focus is a challenge as well. Im not sure 3 screens isn’t ...

Re: HP Reverb G2 - VR Setup Guide for Condor 2

I have attempted to setup everything to make this work but to no avail. I have installed windows mixed vr portal, occulous software, steam and steamVR and revive. Installing revive said success at putting a shortcut on my desktop but when I click that nothing happens. I've used the inject then selec...

Re: Condor2 on Mac with directX 11

More on my setup. I got a Thrustmaster Joystick and pedals and they hooked up pretty well. I didn't need special drivers for the joystick but did for the peddles. I tried to fly from Estrella Arizona to Buckeye Municipal and found that using the Blanik the controls were way too slow to react. To get...

Re: Definition of Lucky!

Pure Glide is one of my favorite glider youtubers. My comment on the video was something like "the most visceral way to find out what the lee side means" and we who watched got to do it without nearing catastrophe

Re: My Desktop VR Glider Controls

thanks. I've been a programmer since the early 80's but the vast majority is business database programming. I did 6502 assembler ages ago though and it gave me a basic understanding of serial ports and registers and such so I'll grab an Arduino and find some docs on the web or from the site and have...

Re: Definition of Lucky!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NpyqiAp2TFY this link should get you to Pure Glides, Instructor Reacts, explanation of this. He actually worked with the pilots to make this video as instruction. The pilots should be commended for publishing this and helping Tim (Pure Glide) explain moment by moment...

Re: My Desktop VR Glider Controls

So the Arduino is used to take all the inputs and turn them into USB flight controller inputs for the PC. Is there documentation somewhere on what the computer is expecting? Is there open source software somewhere that would be a starting point?

Re: OpenXR Now That Oculus Requires Facebook Account?

One more vote for getting away from Oculus. I loath Facebook and will go without VR rather than buy into their abuse of their supposed customers.

Macbook Pro 2019 with Parallels Joystick Suggestions

I have Condor 2 running on Parallels on my Macbook Pro 15 inch 2019 and it works great. but flying with Z and X runner pedals and spoilers on B and N is really difficult on landing. Does anyone have suggestions on Joystick and Peddles for this layout. I asked support as well separately. I think only...

Re: Condor2 on Mac with directX 11

I just loaded it today on Parallels 16 and it runs very well. I have not tweaked with anything other than to change the parallels configure for: setting to games. I'll set it back to development when I'm not running condor probably. So I'm on a Macbook pro 15 2019 , Catalina 10.15.7. 64gb ram Now wi...

Re: 2-32

Speaking of heavy on the controls i got to fly a Pratt-Reid TG-32 once. It was so tough that turning base I had to raise my leg and push the stick under my knee full stop to get the wing back up to level. I'm told that the TG-32 has a heroic history in the Sierra Wave project. All I wanted was to ne...

Re: 2-32

Well those answers made me smile. I did get back into soaring in 1992 for a little while in Vacaville flying an ASK 21. And a friend of mine in mid 60's when i soloed the first time had one of the first 2 Blanik's in the country. So I've flown both of these in real life. I'd say the big difference i...

2-32

I am learning to fly again (3rd time, 1st was 55 years ago at age 14) I am too heavy for most gliders (on Weight Watchers to try to fix that). In the mean time I am learning in a 2-32. That doesn't seem to be modeled so does anyone know what is going to be closest?
