Forget three monitors, go VR. I run a second hand Occulus Rift S on a used GTX1070 and haven’t looked back since. It’s so close to real life it’s unbelievable.
Yea, VR is a game changer for any simulator

Re: Replace video card

Depending on how the flight model works increasing the FPS could increase the temporal resolutions of the simulation or generate instabilities in it but I don't think that should be the case with 160 FPS in Condor2, try enabling V-Sync and possibly a frame cap 3 frames above the monitor refresh rate...

Re: Graphic card suggestions

Condor is not heavy, a GTX 1650 Super will be more than enough, the problem is that prices are all over the place right now so it's not the best moment to buy a graphics card

it is normal, you can see this at all landscapes. On some textures it is more visible, and this is your case.
Thanks, wanted to be sure I wasn't doing something wrong before moving forward

Seams between patches

I created a small scenery composed of a single tile to evaluate the the results with the source data I have but I noticed something weird, there are seams between the patches that composed the tile, much more evident alongside patches at the border of the tile but also between each of them. Is that ...

Looks like a driver issue, what did you change before encountering the problem?

I did actually buy a set of Logitech/Saitek ones 2 months ago. Very worthwhile £110
They aren't needed but make a lot of difference in what and how you can do

Re: Microsoft FFB1 with Windows 10

Hi all, I've seen many posts extolling the virtues of the Microsoft FFB2 joystick. Unfortunately they're selling around the £100 mark on Ebay which is a huge price for such an old piece of kit. Is the old FFB1 joystick useable and if so - could anyone point me to some info on how well it works and ...

Re: Budget rudder pedals

Hi, I'm thinking of buying an entry level set of rudder pedals. But I'm into Rally sims so already have a set of G29 racing pedals, which I map the clutch and throttle for rudder using UJR. Works OK although they're not mechanically linked. Just wondering if something like Logitech G Saitek or Thru...

Re: Condor2 refresh rates

I don't know exactly at what refresh rate you refer but if you meant monitor refresh rate then I don't think Condor has a real limit in terms of FPS, when I forget to enable v-sync I easily reach more than 500 fps

Re: PC locks after 10 minutes

You should try to perform a clean installation of the NVIDIA drivers by selecting the proper checkbox during installation (you will lose NV control panel settings), many problem are solved just by doing that.

Re: DDS maximum resolution

Yeah, I forgot about that :D I had this issue as well but didn't have the time to investigate it further and went without including water in the textures. I've seen that some had similar problems while creating water or automatically unpacking the scenery (which would be nice to know the reason, as...

Re: DDS maximum resolution

Just to confirm: sceneries where each dds tile is 8192 do work as well but require an accordingly specced pc. That's really interesting, I know some scenery use 4096x4096 pixel DDS but when I try to create my own it get rendered as black water, it happened the same even with standard 2048 DDS file ...

Re: DDS maximum resolution

8192 dds tiles are already used on several sceneries without problems. Their size can be 88MB with dxt3 format (for water alpha channel). This is a bit misleading, I think he was referring to the single DDS texture file, which cover a patch and not the entire tile, while you are talking about the e...
