Re: Dedicated Server Recognized Commands
Folks, I'm not interested in using DS Helper. Trying to get the list of commands which can be issued using the radio/message feature (backspace). I've seen links to different references, some were dead, looked at the Condor Manual, has a lot of multiplayer, but couldn't find the list of commands. An...

Re: CH Pro Pedals and Windows 11
Solved the problem! I was using the LEFT/RIGHT rudder input settings on the control input screen (not detected).
Simply selected the RUDDER setting (below Pitch/Bank) and it worked fine.
Can't believe how many hours I wasted for such a simple mistake....

CH Pro Pedals and Windows 11
Folks, any advice is welcome on this. I'd been using Condor 2 and CH Pro Pedals very successfully on Windows 10. Used their 'control manager' software and didn't have a problem with the setup. Just got a new Windows 11 PC, was able to move Condor ok, but having real trouble with Pro Pedals. Here is ...

Re: create_landscape.py
DRH, Very interested in your tools and the ability to generate more accurate thermal maps. I help out at the https://SoaringTools.Org website. With the assistance of some others we were able to put together the tools and a tutorial for creating photo realistic landscape. But, we are missing the part...

Re: Landscape Realism Requests (to Condor devs)
Just another vote here. I also would like to see the associated support tools like Landscape Editor Open Sourced. It could greatly improve the quality of the product and get more people using it. :D Hopefully, keeping Condor 2 simulator itself locked up gives everyone the protection they need. Best ...

Re: Towplane selection scripts
Thanks! Just the posting I needed! A few days someone asking me how to only show specific tow planes.
I didn't realize it was just that easy to move them out of the Condor2\Planes folder.
Best regards!
John

Re: Canadian Scenery
Normally, the best place to look for an existing scenery is https://www.condor.club , go to the landscape section and search their world map. I'm not that familiar with western Canada but there might be something there. They have a scenery called "Cascade Range" that might be good. If you can't find...

Re: Merging (and editing) .apt files
Sounds like a handy tool. I did download it and pretty easy to run. Had one question on operation. I had an existing landscape where the airports were placed with Landscape Editor 2.0.1. I read the .apt file and looked at the spread sheet data. I had a couple of airports that used a decimal part in ...

Re: calibrate landscape
I saw there haven't been any replies. Not sure what guidance you were using for the photo-realistic scenery, but there is a very detailed tutorial here. A lot of the image work is automated, so you can create a 40-50 tile scenery with just a few hours of actual work and have it done in a couple of d...

Re: Converting from .cup / .tsk or other formats into Condor .fpl ?
Jose, Looks like an interesting project and probably not too hard. I'm a programmer and might have some time to give it a try. I help with the SoaringTools.Org website and it would be simple to have a page that does conversions, e.g. XCSoar Task -> Condor Flight Plan. The .fpl is simple text format....

Re: When does a task start?
One other small tip on task starts and turnpoints. I had ignored the "Turnpoint helper" checkbox on the NOTAM badge in the flight planner. I think you'll find it very useful. It not only puts up a big pole for each turnpoint, but also shades the airspace around you when you are inside the radius. Re...

Re: Dedicated server in wine
I'm trying to run the dedicated server on a Centos 7 Server that I have that is up 24x7. It's a 64 bit install. Never used wine before on Linux. Did the basic install with yum for wine, that seemed to go ok. Then I zipped up just the top Condor2 directory with the .exe and some .dll files and unpack...

Re: DSHelper
Folks, Thanks for the tip on the raceresults location. I did find the .csv file for the simple 1 person, 1 turnpoint, race I flew. The contents are below. I see the status says "Warmup" and no Dist or Time numbers. I did get the "Race Start" message at the beginning, flew to the turnpoint and back, ...

Re: DSHelper (Setup Guide, No race results?)
Folks, I'm trying to help my local Club with a group fly. I first just used the Condor Dedicated Server setup to confirm all the connections were working and people could join. That went okay. Then I found DSHelper to help automate starting the server/race results. It took a little more trial and er...
