Back for my regular 2-3 month "Can I fly Condor now?" check-in.
Condor is already great at simulating gliding and having plenty of gliders, so please prioritize de-Facebooking Condor amongst all the cool things you are planning.

Re: OpenXR Now That Oculus Requires Facebook Account?
Microsoft Flight Simulator publicly released VR mode supporting OpenXR: https://www.engadget.com/microsoft-flight-simulator-virtual-reality-update-170028139.html A friend, who I would like to fly with in Condor, reported it works well. He has a Vive. I have an HP Reverb. Revive is the only thing sto...

OpenXR Now That Oculus Requires Facebook Account?
Some people can't get Facebook accounts. Facebook can shut down an account, locking you out of VR. It's hard to get people to fly Condor when other flight sims supporting VR don't require Revive. Are there any plans to move Condor to OpenXR? If not, please consider it.

Re: Situation / Flight saving...
... openvr support... Which is of course the most important one. :) Flight saving would be nice, too, though. Its not like Condor has a staff of 20 full time developers, most of the coding is done by one part time developer, so moderate your expectations :) Not true. The expectations are higher whe...

Re: Windows Mixed Reality Headsets
Happy with first Odyssey (though haven't tried it with Condor because waiting on Condor OpenVR implementation) in other sims/apps. In general, until CPU/GPU hardware catches up with high resolution HMDs and most rendering sims/apps optimize like Condor does, first Odyssey is all you need.

Well, he wouldn't have to ask every time if you did.
People like the complete lists to know what to expect. You're missing the opportunity to detail your work.

Very Efficient Turns?
Please pardon my lack of knowledge as I've just started learning, but how does one try for very efficient turns? I understand the concept of coordinated flight and coordinated turns using rudder and aileron to control adverse yaw. However, I'm less sure about the proper bank angle and speed of entry...

Re: Windows Mixed Reality Headsets
OpenVR! I would like to use a Windows Mixed Reality headset with Condor and would be able to get other people into it as well, but can't for the complexity reason that pckormic is running into (and some people won't install Revive because of Facebook policies), so I gotta keep beating this drum.

Re: Windows Mixed Reality Headsets
I haven't tried Condor 2 VR with my Samsung Odyssey HMD because I don't want to add Oculus and Revive software to my simulation machine, but I did try the Samsung Odyssey HMD with P3D, which uses OpenVR (SteamVR). Solid head tracking and visuals subject to current limitations of VR. I haven't tried ...

Re: Windows Mixed Reality Headsets
An OpenVR implementation of Condor would decrease the complexity, but:

Re: Windows Mixed Reality Headsets
VR works better with SSAA than MSAA. SSAA renders at a higher resolution than the VR HMD resolution and scales it down. Look for Application Resolution in Steam VR settings in Applications or Video tab.

Re: Native SteamVR eventually?
I would like this (OpenVR) as well for Samsung Odyssey. I don't want to add complexity of Rift software and Revive to my simulation system, so I'm not using Condor 2 VR yet. But I'd like to and be able to get friends with Vive and WMR to try Condor 2.

Re: Condor 2 VR - Frame rate
I haven't tried VR yet, but Condor 2 with all settings maxed, 4x MSAA, 3440x1440 resolution (34" ultrawide) runs at 350-400FPS on a 1080 TI. A Samsung Odyssey has total 2880x1440 resolution. Condor 2 visuals at these frame rates impress me.
