Re: What other "tools" are you using?

Make sure you select a printer-friendly map.

I prefer Hubert's (HB) maps, they are the most readable IMHO, but some people may prefer a different sun position

Re: What other "tools" are you using?

For "long-range" navigation in mountainous areas, you might also use the "Print" option in the flight planner, either to paper (which allows for very easy annotations like mountain pass elevations, etc.) or to Bitmap (esp. if you have an extra monitor on your PC)

Re: ? Hosting a Competition on a separate server to the Condor 2 Installation

Your presumption is indeed correct.
However, you only need a reduced subset of the landscape files, especially not the textures and the PDA maps.
Condor Updater has an option to install only the files that are required in server mode.

Re: JS-1 Handling Bad?

Do you have a force-feedback joystick ?
The last (and only) person I heard having low-speed handling issues with the JS1 had not.

Towplane selection application

If you have issues with scripts, I have written a very simple application that allows to activate/deactivate any towplane(s)

The beta version is available there : https://drive.google.com/file/d/19BJZ84 ... sp=sharing

Comments are welcome

Re: Polar Data Spreadsheet

You might want use the data points that I have computed for XCSoar or LK8000 (parabolic polars) https://www.condorsoaring.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=17820 (the link to the most recent data is at the end of the thread) The data points are for the (dry) mass specified in the files. If you want to...

Looks like it is RDU (Raleigh-Durham), which is a small landscape (3.5 GB)

Re: Glider Polar Data

Following the release of Hangar Update 20, I have updated the polar set, it is available for download : https://condorutill.fr/

The set is complete.

If you already have installed the polars, you may only extract the new one (DG1000S) as the other ones should be unchanged.

Re: CoTASA V2.3 (VNE alarm, horizon, etc)

Following the release of Hangar Update 20, I have updated the glider data for CoTASA, they are available for download
http://condorutill.fr/
No need to update CoTASA
Search for "Glider data" below the CoTASA icon, download the file and unzip it in the Settings folder

Re: Things got really weird today - Condor hangs after "Start Flight"

Any Windows or anti-virus recent update ?

I would recommend have the task manager open on the Performance/Processor tab to see if it is a CPU issue

Re: Elevator is not working anymore

If ailerons and rudder are still working, this is not a hardware problem, but it generally indicates a corrupted landscape

Does it happen on all landscapes or only one ? if only one, just re-install the base package

FYI: the issue is known and the search function works quite fine on this forum

Re: Downloaded landscape not showing in game

to make it short, the .7z files must be unzipped to the Condor2\Landscapes folder. This is ridiculous....I did do that just like the other landscapes that work just fine. it should take TWO clicks to install this landscape.... Like all the others, you should be able to right click, then left click ...
