Re: VPForce Rhino FFB stick first impressions
Yeah, I know :) I guess you hit the reply button before reading the rest of the paragraph which stated: "usually alt-tabbing in and out of condor would solve it. With the Rhino, [..] alt-tabbing doesnt seem to work." Havent tried it enough to spot a pattern or be sure it doesnt happen mid flight, as...

Re: Getting back
1) What would be the must have scenarios and gliders to enjoy the most of Condor 2 multiplayer servers? If you want to compete in open class races, EB29 is pretty much a must-have, nothing else comes even close. For standard class, LS8 (or Discus2) is recommended, though you can have fun with the i...

Re: Thrustmaster TPR Pedals
I have the same problem, but I solved it differently: I'm using Silbergleit to reduce friction on the sliders (I guess any dry lubricant will do the job) Keeping them clean also helps Its not a lubrication issue, I just found the spring(s) too stiff. And a little noisy. Rubber bands work great, the...

Re: MS Sidewinder 2 forcefeedback
Is there a version 2 that does not have the forcefeedback... I guess that I have that version? There is a Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 which looks similar, but has no force feedback. https://i.postimg.cc/T243kMQ3/51-EK6-V7-T5-XL-AC.jpg Note the "holes" to the right. Either way, if it has no pow...

Re: Help Setting Up Three Monitors!
Just for the record, all current nvidia 40 series (gaming) cards are limited to 2x 4K monitors at 240Hz or 4x 4K monitors at 120Hz. Cant find those specs for AMD radeon cards, but I suspect they will be the same. For condor, 120Hz should be plenty with vsync or variable refresh rate, for condor, I e...

Re: MS Sidewinder 2 forcefeedback
You dont need drivers, the stick is plug and play. Do you have a centering force when you plug the stick in (outside of condor) ? Does it work in windows control panel, "game controllers" page? If the stick works, but is just limp, then realize there is a sensor in the grip that detects if you are h...

VPForce Rhino FFB stick first impressions
I have been using a Microsoft sidewinder force feedback stick for almost 20 years now. And for most of that time I had been eagerly anticipating new force feedback sticks that would give me better accuracy and more buttons/hat switches (for combat sims mostly) but nothing materialized. I have a non ...

Re: bug report: Condor doesn't follow mid-flight audio switch
A workaround is using a virtual audio driver. Some gaming headsets provide this (my steelseries does), I select "steelseries sonar" as default audio output and that software re-routes the audio between headset, speakers, or even bluetooth whenever I connect or disconnect a device. As far as condor i...

Re: Setup problem with Thrustmaster 16000 FCS
Sliding those pedals is just a little awkward compared to the glider I've flown It is. But its better than twisting a stick ;). If you are willing to spend money on this, consider a VKB T-rudder or trustmaster TPR. If you'd rather spend time/effort on it, there are many projects on thingiverse. Lik...

Re: Throttle recommendation needed
I think the behaviour of "stick center with hands off" has changed a little over time, Im not sure, but as I recall it works like this; imagine you did not trim your plane, you have your stick forward to fly fast. Then you raise or lower your gear (right hand). The stick can either remain where it i...

Re: Hardware (graphics card) for Dummies Using Condor2
Condor 2 uses DX11, that's a DirectX 9 card, it can't run C2 at all. Directx is a software API. Support comes through drivers, but its not necessary for the hardware to directly support all the features in order for games to run. nVidia kepler doesnt natively fully support DX11 either, it can certa...

Re: Hardware (graphics card) for Dummies Using Condor2
GPU market is a bit tough right now. There isnt a new budget card I can recommend. They are all shit and overpriced. The least worst I can think off is something like a radeon RX 6600, which should be plenty fast for condor up to HD resolution, but its not nearly as fast as it should be for that pri...

Re: Throttle recommendation needed
Stick trim when available? Stick centres? "Stick trim where available" means that in some gliders, you dont use a slider to control the trim but a button. Just like in the actual gliders that have a stick trim rather than a slider trim. In condor, you probably want that disabled, if for no other re...

Re: Thrustmaster TPR Pedals
Cant speak for tjohara, but I'm still more than happy with mine. No software is needed, they are just plug and play in windows 10/11. With one minor caveat, Condor doesnt support an axis for braking, so if you want to use the toe brakes, you will need something like joy2key to send a key press if yo...
