The resolution is still too crappy, the devices are too heavy (with our hobby you need to wear it for hours...), even the brand new "pro" version does not seem to be worth the asked money out of my view. I keep checking new hardware - but I guess VR...

The benefits of beeing an active Arma3 player: The hardware will just chill at other games.

It'll have to be whatever I can afford to buy for my first glider which sadly I don't think will be in what you'd consider to be in the 'competitive' class.
