I find the PDA on the Standard Cirrus and, to a lesser extent, Duo Discus and Blanik, to be a problem. I cannot see it without looking down (whether with TrackIR or the hat switch. Antares and Diana2 are good. It is particularly bothersome when you must "sit" closer to the panel (using num-lock +) but even at default position it cannot be used, for example, for thermal centering (see screenshot).
I get that someone may have their PDA there in RL. There appears lots of room to move the bottom of the PDA even with the horizontal line at the bottom of the panel, and over to cover the right-hand 5 amp circuit breaker (unless there is intent to make the master/standby/off switch functional in a future patch).
What do others think? If this is controversial, I can do a poll to see where the majority want to go...
If you move one notch forward, PDA Screen 3, enroute navigation, isn't quick to use.
Since we are going to use the Cirrus as a substitute for our L-33 and Junior, having to constantly do something to look down disrupts the instrument scan we try to instill in x-c neophytes. PDA too low - Std Cirrus - fixed in patch 2.0.3. - thanks!

I agree with Dan. Do a google image search on "glider cockpit pda", and find one even close to as low as the one in the Std Cirrus. The one is the Cirrus in just begging to get destroyed by the pilot's knee .
Also: Can we get confirmation from the dev team that the PDA is being rendered on a 16:9 aspect ratio PDA (V2) using code that was developed for the 4:3 aspect ratio (V1)? Those ovalized circles are driving me nuts. If the dev team would admit that it's a problem they are going to fix, that would be fine... but if not, then I guess we'll have to wait for 6DOF, then come back to the issue by noting that even with 6DOF the screen will never show a circle as a circle. (I think the last thread to discuss this ended with the dev team blaming 100% of the ovalization on the slightly tilted screen, even though the math doesn't support that denial at all)

Nope, we didnt say anything about this. The reason is we have much more important things to do right now. I have just flown the Std Cirrus for the first time in this scenery and find that the PDA is too low. I have to pan down all the time to see the PDA for centering in a thermal and pan back up to keep track of other gliders in a thermal. The PDA is at the pilot's knee level and would probably with leg movement. In my real glider, the PDA is level with the other instruments to avoid having to look down at it in flight. When panned down, the instrument panel takes half the vertical screen. The PDA is way too low.

From my personal point of view, Condor 2.0.2 is now almost perfect!

the only missing improvement is essential to work again, is this PDA!
Indeed, in competition, and especially in the mountains with a good topographic map, I constantly observe the PDA in flight slope, to avoid getting under the wind...
First:

The distortion of the image is blatant and really unpleasant to the eye.
In real I would have turned the PDA to be right in my axis, (as when I adjust the mirror in my car ).
Secondly:
Indeed the PDA is too low on the Std Cirrus. The proof is that every time I use this glider, I am obliged to modify in the parameters of condor the "Vertical view center" (I certainly win in low view but I lose in high view ..) and put it back at the initial position for other gliders.
I think those with an Track-ir do not have this problem. But know that we do not all have Track ir !
And I really hope you will take considerations of our remarks for an upcoming patch.

I end up having to "zoom" out slightly to bring the entire PDA into view. Having to look down is an issue.
