New gliders
Hey guys! Thanks for finally releasing the V2, I just have a question, the new gliders that are on the website will be added to the gliders we already know from V1? Or it's going to be just the new gliders? If it's explained somewhere and I missed it I'm sorry. Greetings from Argentina!
Re: New gliders
As far as I know it's just the new ones. The old condor planes are much less detailed than the new ones

Re: New gliders
There are the 7 you see on the Planes Page on launch, the earlier gliders were too low quality to bring over to V2 without a full rebuild.
There will be addon planes released this time as single gliders rather than a pack, you will be able to see them on this page as we update it with news here:http://www.condorsoaring.com/additional-planes/
Some of the originals may make a return depending on the amazing modelling team we have like OXO and Ben etc time.
But they will let you know more

Re: New gliders
Too bad... Specially the Open class ones...
But ok, when I want to fly them I still can use V1 !
Re: New gliders
When we open the Buy page, on it you will see the plane releases we have planned for the next few months.
We are working like madmen to try and release a new plane each month this year. We may succeed

I know Chris ! Thank you !
But just discovered that my PC and GPU are too outdated for V2...
And I don't have the money at this point (other issues) to upgrade.

Re: New gliders
Alright!! Thank you for your answers! Are we gonna have to pay for every new glider we want? Or some of them will be free? Just asking,I know it takes a lot of effort and time to make them
Re: New gliders
Mostly pay. New towplanes will be free.Julian Mauricio wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2018 1:05 amAlright!! Thank you for your answers! Are we gonna have to pay for every new glider we want? Or some of them will be free? Just asking,I know it takes a lot of effort and time to make them
Ben is working to complete a glider for Easter, which may be free.
You are correct about the time it takes. the only way we can do the 1/month is to have more modellers. Currently there are 4 of us, Ben, Patrick, Martin and me.
Also we started making the additional planes last spring

Re: New gliders
Hopefully the new plane releases will focus on familiar gliders that people can and want to use for high speed racing like we're used to on V1.
Re: New gliders
We try to fill up the most used racing classes as fast as possible with modern and common gliders. And we want to make the field interesting, so we are searching for planes that have nearly the same performance but only with small difference like Discus2 and LS8 in Condor1.

Like a Ventus 3 vs. JS3 ?BenFest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2018 5:00 pmWe try to fill up the most used racing classes as fast as possible with modern and common gliders. V3 - JS1 looks like the equal comparison as far as we can tell. If you have better data, please pm..

Re: New gliders
Your probably right, I'm a little out of touch with these brand new gliders! I'd rather have the JS1 anyway. Best looking glider imhoV3 - JS1 looks like the equal comparison as far as we can tell. If you have better data, please pm..

Re: New gliders
Club, Std (older- Genesis, newer, LS-8 neo), new 15m/18m, 2-seats seem covered. For those that have older flapped machines, something like the LS-6 would make sense; I don't know whether conversion would be easier...

Re: New gliders
I was thinking the same thing. I want to use Condor as a viable training tool. At my club we have level LS4/LS6 and Janus for XC trips. The only reasonable aircraft to take from the current setup would be the Cirrus. There are very few 'normal' ie everyday gliders. Even the upcoming ls8NEO is lightyears ahead of what many people actually fly in every day.
