Yes it is very easy ... I suppose you know the basis of PS6
Start with open the desired .dds:
Use the "magic wan" to select the water , Play with the value of "tolérance" ( sorry have not an english version of PS6)
Then add an alpha layer, (couche in french) by clicking the little icon near the bottom right
Now click Shift + F6 and add 1px of softness..
Then click Shift + F5 and fill selection with background color ( make sure the black is selected ), here you can chose the value of Black 100% is possible but not always, I generally chose 90%...
That's all , Just save your dds as dxt3....and you have water

It works perfectly!
Very good tip to make pinpoint or at the last moment modifications of water-alpha layer.
No need to re-compute the whole stuff of water-alpha soft to build again all the DDS textures. It saves hours!
