After .ini correction I have water balast indicator.
Thank you :)

Before I go deeper in settings - is there a way display only glider and wind arrow without art.horizon for more clearity?
When I fly JS1 and already have one art.horiz. :)

I proposed this during beta tests: No water taken (or glider without ballast) = no water indicators. IMHO it is OK.
I have no real glider, but in my car when I have no fuel, the empty fuel gauge is still here... :D

A few issues;

IAS seems to indicate well above what my instruments give me. When I fly 200 KmH indicated on the ASG, Cotasa shows me ~215
After landing it was stuck on 13 KmH

This isnt entirely reproducible though, other times it deviates by just 3 KmH? I tried a few planes and airstart vs tow, but I cant really see the pattern, and I was using the same fpl.
IAS is copied straightforward from UDP stream. I can't do anything about that. I haven't seen such differences here
Im also skeptical of your TAS conversion. I have dont done the math, but the difference with IAS seems rather big to me. It could be right though it just seemed high Ill look up some numbers later.
TAS is computed using the square root of density ratio computed from the pressure altitude and assuming standard atmosphere (ISA) as I haven't been able to find out how the pressure varies with altitude in Condor (although I did some tests) and I don't factor the ground temperature and pressure.
The combination of both issues, the too high IAS and TAS which I assume is derived from the IAS (and I suspect slightly inflated on top of that), makes the overspeed alarm almost unusable to me, even with safety margin set to 0 it starts shouting at me far too quickly.
As far as I know, flutter doesn't start exactly at VNE (you are safe up to VNE, above that you fly at your own risk).
Besides that, where did you read that the safety margin had to be ≥0 ?
Lastly, cotasa doesnt notice when you switch gliders. Not sure if you can solve that, but it would be nice :)
README.txt line 79.
Might be changed in a future version, though

Not for the time being.

But in a glider you can't refuel in flight, if the ballast is empty at take-off, it will remain so during all the flight
And "no gauge" indicates as well as a gauge showing "empty" that you forgot to fill the ballast before the start of the flight
IMHO, useless information only brings distraction.

The TAS on the ground must be the wind speed!

Indeed, of course it is.
But that doesnt explain the discrepancy with the IAS instrument.

Not a problem for me, but I also need to stop my car to refuel, have no cheat button to refuel during race.... :D
Now that "Marpilot" and all , know the solution and the reason of this, no problem at all with ballast, i just need an Bier level jauge.... :D

Maybe you could activate logging of UDP data in Condor (LogToFile=1 in UDP.ini) and check the UDPlog.txt (the time in the UDP data is decimal hours)

Ill try that later.

Meanwhile, I encountered a more serious issue, although I cant be in any way sure cotasa is to blame. Yesterday in the regatta cup, I lost my chat overlay. I could hear message beeps but could not see them. I obviously tried the relevant keyboard shortcuts to show/hide text, but only the FPS counter and plane icons showed. Quitting cotasa didnt help.

Ive read something like this before, but I never encountered it myself until after installing cotasa and enabling the extendedudp1. It could very well be coincidence, and it doesnt even seem very likely that the two are correlated unless its a keyboard hook problem? but Im reporting it in case any one else encounters this .

Just as a sidenote, I often lose all indications during condor flights, including the "technochat" like flap retraction / deployment indications.

Not using any add-ons.

Have been a long time since I last flew online though, but in the past ( v1 ) it used to happen too with the chat messages.

That happens when you press the ~ key. On most keyboards it below ESC and to the left of the 1 key.

This suppresses all HUD displays including the FPS, PAUSE/AUTOPILOT or screen shot messages, which doesn't seem to be the case here (and janjansen explicitly mentions trying that)

I have trouble seing why it would be a keyboard hook problem as the chat messages you mention were triggered by actions by other remote users, no you hitting a keyboard key.

JanJansens problem is a different one. What Jcomm describes looks more like the ~ being pressed. That was what I was replying too. Should have quoted
