Condor to SeeYou task converter
Condor to SeeYou task converter
Hi,
I haven't find anything like that so i written small program to convert Condor's task to SeeYou cup file (including waypoints and task). It's pre-alpha version so don't hurt me if something won't work
Usage: just place file in Condor main directory and run. After clicking "Convert" button select task file in open file dialog, and next point destination file. That's all.
Kind regards,
Kuba

Re: Condor to SeeYou task converter
This is a really nice program, thank you !!!
Unfortunately there is still no way to enter a server, transform the task to some of the known programs (SeeYou, XCSoar, SoaringPilot, etc), if the flightplan can't be saved...
The only way this could be done would be when Condor Team implement this in the code of Condor...
Some people says it is unfair with guys that don't have external PDA, but I still believe most of the people are interested in use Condor as a simulation, and as a tool of knowing better their PDA programs. And don't forget: the decision on how to fly, or the path to use, is made by that little piece of hardware between stick and seat...
The solution: 1) implement some more feature on the Condor PDA, so it is in accordance with the actual software around; or 2) implement the possibility to save the flightplan in the form of the actual software around.

Welll... Can be...
Join to server, enter to server, be sec. at airfield, disconnect, save igc; open freeflight -> load saved igc, save task as fpl, use this converter or on c-c -> get file for your pda...
As u see flightplan can be saved, but what is good, with randomized weather! But of course route is the same.
So Condor Team is not needed this time... (But we still waiting for P13 and PP2)

Re: Condor to SeeYou task converter
Hi PIT
I agree with you... but... have you tried to do this in a server that populate very quickly (like the daily servers of the french community? If I follow your steps (I already knew them) it is almost impossible to re-connect to the same server. Ok, I also agree that this normally doesn't happen. But when the big Competitions start again (like SkyBattle 2010) this will happen almost certainly...

Also true... But as task is published 1h usually (or will be 15 min in SBC10) there is still time to prepare fpl with day track/TPs (weather is not important at all - just fpl to convert...) before connection to server.

Re: Condor to SeeYou task converter
Nice tools! Is there any basic one what can make it in winpilot format? (Because of XCSoar)
I know the CondorClub can make it and also possible with sd card an Condor2Nav, but something like this would be more confortable!
Or just from cup to winpilot format, sometimes there is problem (error) with the task file saved from SY.

Re: Condor to SeeYou task converter
Sure, but then we are again at the start point... Would be nice to have this feature implemented by Condor Team.Pit_R wrote:Also true... Re: Condor to SeeYou task converter
I've found a bug.
Just tried a task from the FR servers (EGUQ from Condor Club) and tried to transform it.
The results are:

- CU: N38°56,650 W012°00,000
- TP1:

Re: Condor to SeeYou task converter
For XCSoar/LK8000 translation you can use Condor2Nav project (http://forum.condorsoaring.com/viewtopi ... 4&p=109807). The next release that will happen that week will try to help a bit with "unable to save FPL file" problem. The number of operations that will be needed to make a translation will be minimized. However the main disadvantage of that solution will remain (the need to connect to the server twice).Nice tools! Is there any basic one what can make it in winpilot format? (Because of XCSoar)
Re: Condor to SeeYou task converter
its already done via web http://litteam.czskcup.info/
go to submenu and select FPL to PDA
pass for access: 22
